.... Pak Nik had served under 3 deputy prime minister at the National Land Council of which he was the Secretary. As a public civil servant for 34 years, Pak Nik is not actively involved in politics. He always believed that civil servants should be above politics. When he was appointed the Land Task Force Co-chairman Selangor, Pak Nik had always stressed during his committee meeting that he is discharging his duties above politics without fear or favor. He commended state agencies and District Officers for being very professional during his work tenure.

Pak Nik has served in various  government duties including as Chairman Land Boundary Committee (Malaysia,Indonesia,Thailand) of which his greatest achievement was to strategies a dialogue with the Indonesian and Thailand Army Generals of the importance of having a permanent land boundary solutions. Pak Nik succeeded in defending Malaysia's territory of Sipadan and Ligitan fom Indonesia at the World Court, The Hague. However Pak Nik was not involved in the Pulau Batu Putih dispute as he had retired from service and the government had not appointed him as advisor in this issue.

Pak Nik also served public business entities such as FELDA HOLDINGS BERHAD and 11 of its subsidiaries for 8 years, being its director representing the government @ being the secretary general of the Ministry in charge of FELDA. During his tenure of which Raja Alias was FELDA chairman, he retired from the Board after FELDA managed to pay back all its debts to the Malaysian Government and the world credit agency like the world development fund. At this precious moment FELDA had zero debts. This was again history. Today FELDA went on to make generous profits and achievement.
